Lauren Feely Tabbed MAC Scholar Athlete of the Week

Cleveland, Ohio - Bowling Green State University gymnast Lauren Feely was named Mid-American Conference Female Scholar Athlete of the Week for her performance last weekend against Alaska Anchorage. Feely who holds a 4.000 grade point average in inclusive early childhood and hails from Gurnee, Ill.

Feely competed in the all-around competition last Saturday to open BGSU's home schedule, helping her team to a victory over the Seawolves. The junior earned a 38.500 in all-around, placing first in the event. Feely also took first place on vault with a season-high 9.800. Her highest score of the night came on floor exercise with another season-best of 9.825, earning her second place. Feely placed fourth on uneven bars with a 9.700 and 12th on balance beam. Her two other all-around scores from this season are a pair of 38.725s.

The Falcons and Feely welcome the University of Denver this Saturday at 4 pm ET for BGSU's first ever meet inside the Stroh Center.
