The Falcons will send out a similar lineup to the last three events of the season, with the addition of Noah Firestone, who will be making his first appearance with the Bowling Green men's golf program. Firestone will be rounding out a lineup led by Jose Narro, followed by Brett Rinker, Max Rispler, and Pablo Heredia Iglesias.
Senior Jose Narro will start at the top of the lineup for the Falcons, after posting a total score of 225, +9 at the Mountaineer Intercollegiate two weeks back. A native of Tampico, Mexico, Narro finished in the top-two on the Bowling Green leaderboard at the first two events of the fall season with scores of 214, +4 and 217, +4. Narro posted a low round of 69 on the final 18-holes of the Marshall Invitational and has placed as high as 23rd overall over the course of three events this season.
For the first time in the fall season, senior Brett Rinker finished on top of the Bowling Green leaderboard after carding rounds of 72, 71, and 79 at the Mountaineer Intercollegiate. The Slippery Rock, Pa. native turned in a season-best score of 222, +6 at the West Virginia-hosted event to tie for 29th overall. The score was a dramatic improvement from his two prior events, in which Rinker marked three-round scores of 232, +22 and 233, +20. The second round score of 71 at the Mountaineer Intercollegiate is also a season low for Rinker.
Another familiar name in the Falcons lineup is redshirt sophomore Max Rispler, who will appear in the number three spot. The native of Grand Rapids, Mich. has finished in the top-two spots on the Bowling Green leaderboard in all three events thus far in the fall season, and has placed as high as ninth individually. With a score of 212, -1 at the Inverness Intercollegiate, Rispler is the only Falcon to have finished under par this season, which was achieved by carding rounds of 69, 71, and 72. Rispler also finished on top for the Falcons at the Marshall Invitational, at which he marked a total score of 212, +2, in addition to a 224, +8 finish at the Mountaineer Intercollegiate.
Sophomore Pablo Heredia Iglesias will be competing in his fourth consecutive event of the season at the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate. The native of Sevilla, Spain made a big impact early on in season when he finished in a tie for 36th overall with a score of 218, +8 at the Marshall Invitational. Since then, Heredia Iglesias carded a 219, +6 at the Inverness Intercollegiate, in addition to a 227, +11 at the Mountaineer Intercollegiate. Heredia Iglesias has marked a low round of 69 on two occasions, including the third round at the Marshall Invitational as well as the opening 18-holes at the Inverness Intercollegiate.
Rounding out the Falcons lineup and competing in his first event as a Bowling Green Falcon will be sophomore Noah Firestone. A native of Annville, Pa., Firestone competed the 2015-16 season with Monmouth University, where he participated in six events, 12 rounds and tallied 897 strokes. In his time at Monmouth, Firestone earned three top-five finishes with a 74.8 stroke average and marked a round low of 68 at the Tuxedo Autumn Invitational on Sept. 25, 2015. Firestone also claimed the title at the Columbia Invitational while with the Monmouth men's golf program.
At last year's ODU/OBX Intercollegiate, the Bowling Green men's golf program finished second overall in a field of 18 teams, by combining for a three-round team score of 854, +2. The team's score is tied for fifth best 54-hole tournament team score in BGSU men's golf history. At the same event, Pablo Heredia Iglesias finished fourth overall individually by carding rounds of 66, 72, and 72, for a total score of 210, -3, which remains as a career-best 54-hole score for the Spaniard.
