BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team earned a 90-58 victory over Morgan State on Saturday (Nov. 26) afternoon at the Stroh Center. For the second-consecutive game, four Falcons scored in double digits, while senior Zack Denny tied the school record for steals in a single game with eight.

Bowling Green scored 90 points for the third time in the Michael Huger Era. BGSU knocked off Ohio, 91-75, on Jan. 12, 2016. The Falcons beat Urbana, 96-55, on Nov. 29, 2015.

The Falcons, after shooting 1-for-14 from downtown in the first half, shot 60.0 percent from the field in the second half and connected on 7-of-9 attempts from three-point land to pull away with the victory. Bowling Green scored 57 points in the second half and turned a 33-22 halftime lead into a 32-point win.

Bowling Green's bench outscored the Morgan State bench, 48-11. The Falcons dominated the rest of the situational statistics, as BGSU had more points in the paint (38-24), more points off turnovers (23-18), and more fast-break points (12-5). The Falcons had 10 second-chance points to Morgan State's two.

For the game, the Falcons shot 50.0 percent (32-of-64), while holding Morgan State to 32.3 percent (21-of-65) shooting. Morgan State, a team that came into the game averaging over 19 points per game from the free throw line, converted 12-of-16 attempts from the line. Bowling Green made 18-of-25 attempts from the charity stripe.

After Morgan State took a 13-6 lead with 12:49 to go in the opening half, Bowling Green went on a 17-0 run and held the Bears scoreless for 7:51. Bowling Green used that stretch to build an 11-point halftime lead. The Orange and Brown then outscored Morgan State by 21 points in the second half to pull away with the victory.

Matt Fox led the Falcons in scoring with a career-high 18 points. The junior, who needed one more three-pointer to tie his career high, went 7-for-11 from the field and connected on 4-of-7 attempts from downtown. Freshman Dylan Frye established a new career high with 15 points. He also made a career-best three triples (3-for-4), and finished the game by making five of his six field goal attempts.
Sophomore Demajeo Wiggins, who scored 13 points and had nine rebounds last game against Murray State (Nov. 21), went 6-for-9 from the field, while scoring 12 points and adding five rebounds. Denny, to go along with his program-tying eight steals, had 11 points, seven rebounds and two assists. Sophomore Antwon Lillard contributed with eight points, eight rebounds and two assists.

Freshman Rodrick Caldwell and sophomore Rasheed Worrell each had seven points. Worrell went 3-for-4 from the field, and registered nine rebounds. Caldwell notched five assists. Senior Wes Alcegaire scored six points and had three rebounds, while fellow senior Ismail Ali had a season-high seven assists. He also scored five points and had three rebounds. Freshman Ethan Good played the first three minutes of his career, and totaled his first point and first assist of his collegiate career.

The Orange and Brown will take on Notre Dame College on Nov. 29 at the Stroh Center. The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. tip. The Falcons will then play a pair of difficult road games against Cincinnati (Dec. 4) and Evansville (Dec. 6).
