Three Falcons from Women's Soccer Named All-Ohio

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Three Falcons from the Bowling Green women's soccer team were named All-Ohio by the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association after the team went 8-10-1 in the 2016 campaign.
Both Alexa Cheripko and Melissa Needham were named Second Team Academic All-Ohio. Cheripko, a senior majoring in Biology earned a 4.00 GPA, while Needham marked a GPA of 3.97 as a senior majoring Exercise Science. On the season, Cheripko tallied nine total shots, two shots on goal and one assist, while Needham had seven shots on the year in the team's 19 matches played.
After leading the team in goals scored for the second consecutive season, redshirt sophomore Erica Hubert was named All-Ohio Second Team as well for her contributions on the field. Hubert scored seven goals and a team-leading 15 points on the year, in addition to marking the seventh hat trick in Bowling Green women's soccer history against Western Michigan (Oct. 20).
The Bowling Green women's soccer team had earned the most wins in a season since 2008 with its record of 8-10-1 on the year. The Falcons also marked a record of 3-7-1 in conference play.
