Baseball Picked To Finish Third In MAC East By Conference Coaches

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll was released by the conference office Wednesday (Feb. 17) morning, prior to opening day of the 2016 baseball season on Friday (Feb. 19).

With 43 points, Bowling Green was picked to finish third in the East Division, above Miami (37) and Buffalo (22), and below Kent State (63) and Ohio (55). Central Michigan was picked to win the West Division.

Kent State was picked to win the MAC Tournament, garnering four votes. Bowling Green received one vote to win the tournament, along with Ball State, Miami, Northern Illinois and Western Michigan, while Central Michigan earned two votes.

The Falcons will open the 2016 season this Friday in Johnson City, Tennessee against East Tennessee State University. Bowling Green will play a three-game set with the Buccaneers Feb. 19-21.
