Dolfuss capitalizes on a scoring opportunity, putting one into the top right corner of the net.
Bowling Green, Ohio – Head women's soccer coach, Lindsay Basalyga, announced the addition of Hannah Dolfuss to the 2016-17 roster, as she joins six others who signed on National Signing Day.
"Hannah is a great addition to our 2016 recruiting class," said Basalyga. "She's had experience competing at a high level with the Region II team and the ECNL. Her technical ability on the ball, paired with her vision in the attacking half of the field will compliment our style of play really well heading into the 2016 season."
Dolfuss (center midfielder) is a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana and has played under coaches Rick Link and Katie Metz at Homestead High School. She was voted team captain in 2014 and 2015, while also earning four varsity letters. Dolfuss' squad finished first in the Northeast Hoosier Conference (2012, 2013) and she was named First-Team NHC and Top Team Player for the 2012 season where she scored seven goals and had three assists. In her junior season, she won the 2014 Leadership Award, despite struggling with an injury that kept her off the field. This past season, Dolfuss' end-of-season awards included 2015 Offensive MVP, All-Area Team, First-Team All-District and Indiana All-State Team. She recorded nine goals and six assists in her senior season.
Dolfuss has club affiliations with Carmel United ECNL, Indiana Fire ENCL and the Indiana State team. She served as ECNL Team Captain for three seasons, was on the Indiana All-State Team from 2008-2014 and was also a member of the ODP Region II Team for the 2010-11 and 2012-13 seasons attending events in Costa Rica and Las Vegas
She is an honor roll student, a two-year leadership development member and four-year academic letterman. Dolfuss, whose father is a 1990 graduate of BGSU, is planning to major in pre physical therapy at Bowling Green.
