Bowling Green, Ohio - Under first year head coach Mike Jinks, the three-time defending MAC East Champion Bowling Green State University football team has a new coaching staff. In anticipation of the spring game on April 2 at 11 am in Doyt Perry Stadium, BGSUFalcons.com is providing a look at the coaches through mic'd up segments.
Offensive line coach Stephen Hamby served as an assistant offensive line coach for the previous three seasons at Texas Tech and was directly responsible for coaching the centers, while assisting with on-field and off-field instruction for the entire line. An offensive lineman for Texas Tech from 2004-08, Hamby helped the Red Raiders to a 37-16 record and four consecutive bowl appearances. Following his collegiate career, he had training camp invites from the Washington Redskins and the New Orleans Saints. He is a 2009 Texas Tech graduate with a degree in agriculture and applied economics.
