Fillis, Comella Named MAC Doubles Team Of The Week

Cleveland, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University tennis doubles team of senior Drew Fillis and freshman Paula Comella were named the Doubles Team of the Week this morning by the Mid-American Conference.
Fillis and Comella helped capture the doubles point against Buffalo over the weekend. Ending the season with one conference loss, Fillis and Comella defeated the Bulls' Tanja Stojanovska and Dayana Agasieva, 6-4 at the No. 1 spot. Against Akron, the duo's match was halted when the Zips captured the doubles point. Akron's Ariadna Blinova and Shannon Newnes were leading Fillis and Comella, 3-2.
The tandem finished the season with an 11-4 overall record and 4-1 in conference play.
