Evanston, Ill. – The Bowling Green State University football program has completed its 2017 non-conference schedule, agreeing to play at Northwestern University Sept. 16, 2017.

The three-time defending Mid-American Conference East champions, Bowling Green has defeated three Big Ten programs in the past two years. BGSU faces Ohio State to open the 2016 season Sept. 3 and will play back-to-back games at Michigan State and Northwestern in 2017.

The Falcons are 2-0 all-time against Northwestern with the most-recent meeting coming in the 2003 Motor City Bowl at Detroit's Ford Field, a 28-24 BGSU win. The only other contest in the all-time series came Nov. 17, 2001 at Ryan Field as the Falcons won 43-42 behind Harris' 30-of-47 for 402 yards. Bowling Green got a touchdown and two-point conversion with 36 seconds remaining.
