August 30, 2016 | Football
Knoxville, Tenn. – The Bowling Green State University football program has signed a contract to open the 2021 season at The University of Tennessee. The game will take place on Sept. 4, 2021.
BGSU and Tennessee played for the first time a year ago, a 59-30 Volunteers victory to open the 2016 season. That contest was played at Nissan Stadium, home of the Tennessee Titans. The contest in 2021 is scheduled to be played at Neyland Stadium.
BGSU now has three of four non-conference games scheduled for the 2021 season. The Falcons are slated to host South Alabama on Sept. 11, 2021 and will play at Louisiana Tech in the conclusion of a home-and-home set on Sept. 18, 2021.
