Women's Basketball Volunteers at Black Swamp Festival

Members of the Bowling Green State University women's basketball team recently volunteered at the Black Swamp Arts Festival in downtown Bowling Green. As they have in recent years, the Falcons helped out at the Tie Dye tent during this year's festival.

"Our program enjoys being a part of the Black Swamp Arts Festival every year," said head coach Jennifer Roos. "Volunteering in the Youth Arts Village allows our team to interact with children of all ages and become role models for them.
The women's basketball program spent two-and-a-half hours at the Tie Dye tent along Main Street during the festival, and the players seemed to enjoy the experience just as much as the kids.
"We all really enjoy volunteering at the Black Swamp Arts Festival," said sophomore Maddie Cole. "It is really cool to see how happy each of the kids were when they were able to create their own shirt at our tye-die station!"
Falcon freshman Jane Uecker echoed Cole's thoughts.
"It was really fun for my teammates and I to walk around at the festival and see all of the fun activities taking place," said Uecker. "And, it was great to interact with the Bowling Green community and help the kids tye-die their shirts. It was so cute to see how excited they got!"
