Women's Soccer To Face Fort Wayne On The Road

This weekend, the Bowling Green women's soccer program will round out non-conference competition and a three-match road stint as they take on the Fort Wayne Mastodons Friday evening at 7 p.m. in Fort Wayne, Ind. The match will feature both live stats and a live video stream for fans unable to attend.

PREVIEW OF FORT WAYNE
The Mastodons are off to a slow start in its 2016 campaign. The last win for the 'Dons came against Youngstown State on Sept. 2, in which junior forward Kallianne Mogler had a hat trick that helped propel Fort Wayne to a 4-3 win. In net for the Mastodons this season is Kiley Dunning who has made 58 saves with a .773 save percentage. Fort Wayne's other victory was a 2-0 shutout of Eastern Illinois. On the season, the Mastodons average 8.6 shots a game and 52 percent landing on goal.

FALCONS VERSUS THE MASTODONS ON THE PITCH
The Falcons are undefeated against the Mastodons, with a 4-0-0 all-time record. The most recent victory came over Fort Wayne on Aug. 23, 2015 in a 3-0 final at home.
LAST WEEK'S WRAP UP
The Falcons split a pair of matches at the Navy Invitational this past weekend. The first match against Towson was a tough one, as the Falcon's fell 5-1 to the Tigers, with the lone goal being scored by junior Skylar Fleak, which was her second on the season. The Falcons rebounded and defeated host school Navy 2-1 in a dramatic double overtime final. Fleak tied the game up with just three minutes remaining to force overtime, then in the second overtime Erica Hubert found the back of the net with just 21 seconds remaining to lift the Falcons to the win. Freshman goalkeeper Kathleen Duwve made her first career start and recorded nine saves to help out in the Bowling Green victory.

Up next, the Falcons will return home to Cochrane Field to start Mid-American Conference play as they host Ohio on Sept. 23 at 7 p.m.
