Many events are planned for Bowling Green women's soccer fans this weekend, as Friday's match kicks off Mid-American Conference play and is Youth Soccer Appreciation Night, while Sunday is Alumni Day. The Falcons match with the Bobcats on Friday will also be aired on ESPN3, so come on out and fill the stands for one of the women's soccer program's two televised games this season.
On Friday night against Ohio, youth soccer players can enter a raffle to win a soccer ball autographed by the entire Bowling Green women's soccer squad. The match will also feature a post-game photo booth with the women's soccer team and the Falcons will be signing autographs after the match for any youth soccer participants.
At Sunday's matchup with Kent State, the first 250 fans to Cochrane Stadium will receive a BGSU Athletics water bottle! At halftime, alumni of the Bowling Green women's soccer program will be recognized at center field, so be sure to come out and show your support for the Falcons all weekend long!
PREVIEW OF OHIO UNIVERSITY
The Bobcats have earned a 2-4-1 start to its season, and have faced some tough games early on with all of the losses coming by just a one goal differential. Ohio has also gone to overtime in four of its seven games thus far. The Bobcats have struggled the past few games, but its last victory came in a shut out of Cleveland State 5-0 back on Sept. 2. In that game, senior Alexis Milesky led the charge with two goals during the game. The Bobcats average 12.3 shots on goal and of those, 53 percent are landing on goal this season. Erin Beurket has been in goal most recently for the Bobcats and has recorded one shutout and averages 1.18 goals per game with a save percentage of 85 percent. Â

FALCONS VERSUS THE BOBCATS ON THE PITCH
BGSU is 3-12-4 all-time against Ohio University on the pitch. Last season, the game was held at Ohio University where the Bobcats defeated the Falcons in a 4-2 final.Â

PREVIEW OF KENT STATE
The Golden Flashes started the season with a loss to Ohio State but have won four straight matches since. Kent State started the win streak off with a 3-0 shutout of Canisius College, while the next three wins all came via a 2-1 winning score. The Golden Flashes were scheduled to head down to Florida for a pair of matches against University of North Florida and Jacksonville University but the trip was cancelled due to weather concerns, shortening non-conference play for the Flashes. Leading the way for Kent State this season is senior Jenna Hellstrom, who has tallied five goals and two assists thus far. In goal for the Golden Flashes is sophomore Ashleah McDonald who has one shutout on the year, 25 saves, and a .800 save percentage. The Golden Flashes are averaging 13.8 shots per game and of those shots .493 percent are on goal.

The Falcons traveled to Fort Wayne, Ind. for a matchup against the Fort Wayne Mastodons. After a tight first half, the Falcons erupted early in the second by getting 18 shots off. Barely 20 minutes into the second half, the Falcons were able to score three unanswered goals from junior Skylar Fleak, redshirt sophomore Jennifer Reyes, and freshman Maureen Kennedy.
