BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University tennis program opens the 2017-18 season this weekend, as it hosts the BGSU Invitational from Friday, Sept. 8 through Saturday, Sept. 9. Competition with the eight teams in attendance will take place at both the Keefe Courts on the BGSU campus and the Bowling Green High School courts from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

New in the Falcons' lineup is freshmen Marta Bettinelli, Sidney Reineke and Theresa Wassmann, while Vanesa Pardo joins the program after transferring from Stephen F. Austin University.
The 2017-18 Bowling Green tennis program boasts a diverse lineup, including eight players from seven different countries. Coach Dalmacio, a native of Brazil, will also be joined by the addition of assistant coach Jieke Stroobant of Belgium.
The BGSU Invitational kicks off a fall season that will consist of four tournaments, including the WSU Invitational (Sept. 29-30), Buffalo Invitational (Oct. 6-8) and the ITA Regionals (Oct. 12-17). The Falcons will also host its third annual Pro-Am fundraiser on Dec. 2 to cap off the 2017 fall campaign.
