BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team fell at home at the Stroh Center to Central Michigan University, 84-75, Saturday (Jan. 20) afternoon. With the loss, Bowling Green drops to 12-7 (3-3 MAC) on the season, while Central Michigan improves to 13-6 (2-4 MAC).
The Falcons led, 37-34, at the half, and led by as many as 15 points in the second half, but the Chippewas made a flurry of three-pointers in the second half to come back and take the win. CMU made 7-of-8 triples at one point during the second half, connecting on 8-of-13 shots from downtown over the final 20 minutes.
PLAYER NOTES
• Junior forward Demajeo Wiggins posted a double-double for the fifth-consecutive game, as he finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
• In conference play, Wiggins is averaging 16.8 points and 11.5 rebounds.
• Sophomore guard Rodrick Caldwell added 16 points, four assists and three rebounds. Caldwell went 3-for-7 from downtown and 5-for-11 for the game.
• Sophomore guard Dylan Frye scored 13 points, while pitching in four assists and three rebounds. He hit three triples, and has now made multiple three-pointers in four-consecutive games.
• Freshman forward Derek Koch posted five rebounds, and scored 11 points, which marks a conference career high. Koch also had one steal and one block.
• Redshirt-freshman guard Justin Turner contributed with 12 points, five rebounds, one assist and one block. Turner went 2-for-4 from three-point range.
• Off the bench, junior guard Antwon Lillard recorded seven points on 2-of-4 shooting, while also having three rebounds, one assist and one steal.
• Redshirt-junior Jeffrey Uju registered two points and four rebounds. Both figures marked conference career highs for Uju, who also had one block.
• Freshman forward Daeqwon Plowden finished with one point, three rebounds and one steal.

• Bowling Green shot 48.3 percent (14-of-29) in the second half.
• The Falcons won the battle on the glass, 38-35. The Falcons have out-rebounded their opponent in seven of the last eight games.
• The Falcons posted 12 second-chance points, while Central Michigan only scored eight second-chance points.
• The Falcons hit 10 three-pointers (10-for-26). Bowling Green has made at least 10 triples in six games in 2017-18.
