OFFENSIVE NOTES
- BGSU passed for 231 yards and earned 317 yards of total offense. The Falcons average 266 passing yards per game.
- The Falcons converted six of 18 third-down attempts; it is their most conversions since Sept. 29 (at Georgia Tech) and third-best total of the season.
- Jarret Doege threw for 207 yards and three touchdowns. He now has thrown for 2,285 yards and 23 TDs.
- Doege has multiple touchdown passes in eight of nine games and has also thrown for 200+ yards eight times.
- Scott Miller led the team with six catches and 75 yards, which gives him 54 catches for 860 yards in 2018.
- Miller is tied with Ronnie Moore for fifth in BGSU history with 198 receptions and moved into seventh in team history with 2,579 receiving yards.
- Miller also completed his first career pass attempt for 24 yards.
- Ra'veion Hargrove, Dorian Hendrix, and Noah Massey each caught their first career touchdown passes.
- Massey caught two passes for 15 yards; his previous career totals were one catch for 12 yards.
- Hargrove set single-game highs for catches (4) and yards (41).
- Hendrix set a single-game high with 33 receiving yards on two catches.
- Rico Frye set a personal best with 17 carries (36 yards). He also caught four passes.
- Frye earned his first career start. Brian Sanders also started on offense for the first time.
DEFENSIVE NOTES
- BGSU allowed a season-low 382 total yards.
- Kent State was the sixth opponent BGSU has held to fewer than 200 passing yards. Opponents average just 179.8 yards against the Falcons' secondary.
- Bowling Green held KSU to 7-for-17 on third down attempts.
- The Falcons tied a season high with four sacks and set a new high with eight tackles for loss.
- DeMontae Haigler led BGSU with a career-best two sacks. Roland Walder and Karl Brooks each had one.
- Walder finished the contest with five tackles (2.5 TFL) and a pass break-up.
- Marcus Milton earned five tackles, one for loss, as well as a forced fumble which was recovered by Kholbie Coleman.
- Brandon Harris led BGSU with 15 tackles (0.5 TFL).
- Caleb Biggers posted six tackles after starting for the first time in his career.
SPECIAL TEAMS NOTES
- Nate Needham finished the night 2-for-2 on extra points and 2-for-3 on field goals.
- Needham remains perfect (26-for-26) on extra points and has now connected on five of eight field goal tries.
- Matt Naranjo punted eight times for an average of 40.8 yards, including a long of 55 yards. Two of his punts traveled inside the KSU 20.
- Naranjo has a season average of 41.2 after 17 punts, including two of 50+ yards.
- Marcus Milton set career single-game highs with five punt returns for 57 yards.
UP NEXT
- BGSU returns to the field on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 3:00 p.m. ET when they take on Central Michigan.
- The game will be held in Mount Pleasant, Mich. at Kelly Shorts Stadium and will be televised on ESPN+.
- The Falcons are 22-18 all-time against CMU in a series dating back to 1924.
- The two teams last met at Central Michigan in 2010, when BGSU defeated the Chippewas 17-14.
