Falcons In Position To Move Up Leaderboard At Health Plan Mountaineer Invitational
October 08, 2018 | Men's Golf
Morgantown, W.Va. – The BGSU Men's Golf team started play at the Health Plan Mountaineer Invitational, finishing with a score of 301 (+25) through 15-17 holes played. Play was suspended due to darkness Monday night and the final three holes will be played tomorrow morning before the second round begins.
Pablo Heredia Iglesias leads the Falcons with a score of -1 after shooting Round 1 score of 71. He has just one hole remaining in the opening round. Heredia Iglesias is very much in contention, as he currently sits tied-fifth.
Finishes were staggered with all teams finishing on different holes, hence there being scores that are smaller despite being further down the leaderboard.
Coach Powers Quote:
"We played well down the stretch today, but had too many big numbers early on to get into contention. This team has finished strong all season and we expect to do he same tomorrow and move up the leaderboard. Pablo continued his great play and has an excellent chance to catch the leaders tomorrow."
