BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team picked up an 86-50 exhibition victory over Bluffton University on Thursday (Nov. 1) night at the Stroh Center. The game will be Bowling Green's lone exhibition in 2018-19.

"I was pleased with tonight's result," said head coach Michael Huger. "We were able to get all 14 guys game reps and work on some things against an outside opponent. I thought our guys played with energy and shared the ball with each other. We will continue to build off this effort and get ready for Tuesday's season opener. I love this group and the chemistry they have with each other."

• Bowling Green led for 38:18 of the 40 minutes. The Falcons did not trail in the contest.
• Bowling Green shot 50.0 percent (27-of-54) from the field, while holding the Beavers to 27.6 percent (16-of-58) shooting.
• Bowling Green shot 40 free throws on the night, converting on 30 to shoot 75.0 percent from the charity stripe.

• Fellow sophomore Daeqwon Plowden also scored 12 points. The forward also finished with three steals and two rebounds.
• Junior Michael Laster added nine points on 4-of-8 shooting, to go along with two assists and two steals.
• Junior forward Marlon Sierra provided seven points and seven rebounds for the Falcons.
• Freshman center Tayler Mattos went 3-for-5 from the floor, finishing with seven points and three rebounds.
• Senior guard Antwon Lillard scored six points on 2-of-4 shooting.
• Redshirt-senior forward Jeffrey Uju finished the ballgame with four points, three assists and two rebounds.
• Freshman guard Caleb Fields contributed with four points and one assist.
• Redshirt-freshman forward Matiss Kulackovskis went 1-for-2 from downtown to finish with three points.
• Senior guard De Andre' Austin and sophomore center Joniya Gadson each had two points. Junior guard Dylan Frye scored two points, as well, while also adding four rebounds and a steal.

• Bowling Green's season opener is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 6 at the Stroh Center vs. Tiffin University at 7 p.m.
• Following the home opener, the Falcons will play a pair of challenging road games as part of the 2018 Legends Classic. Bowling Green travels to Queens, New York to take on St. John's at 6:30 p.m. on Fox Sports 2 on Nov. 9. St. John's is receiving votes in both the AP Top 25 and USA Today Coaches Poll.
• From there, the Falcons will travel to Richmond, Virginia to take on Virginia Commonwealth University. BGSU's game at VCU on Monday, Nov. 12 will begin at 7 p.m.
