November 03, 2018 | Volleyball
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University volleyball program pick up a second three-set victory this week after defeating Northern Illinois on the road on Saturday, Nov. 3. Miami were defeated by Western Michigan in five sets, meaning the Falcons move to first place in the MAC standings with two matches left two play in the regular season.
This is the first time the Falcons defeat the Huskies in DeKalb in 12 years. The last time Falcons defeated NIU in a road match was on Sept. 30, 2006.

Set #1: 28-26Â Set #2: 25-20Â Set #3: 25-17Â
COACH TOMICÂ QUOTEÂ
"This was a huge road win for us because NIU is probably the toughest place to play on the road. Our team showed so much grit, poise, and maturity throughout the whole match but especially in the first set. To come back 11-21 and 16-24 speaks volume about the character and toughness of our team.
We will and enjoy and celebrate this win for 24 hours, cheer our women's soccer team in the MAC Championship game tomorrow, and then focus on preparation for our last two matches of the season."
