
BGSU Falls To Northern Michigan On Saturday, Splits Weekend Series

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The No. 9 ranked Bowling Green State University hockey team fell to the Northern Michigan Wildcats in game two of the weekend series. The Falcons flashed their sticks throughout the game leading shots on goal 35-15, but Northern Michigan's defense and goaltending was able to freeze all their attempts. Bowling Green splits the weekend with Northern Michigan, winning the matchup on Friday (Nov. 2) 3-1. Bowling Green will make their first of two trips to Alaska on the season to take on the Seawolves of Alaska Anchorage for a two game series (Nov. 9, 10).

- Northern Michigan captured the first goal of the night at 15:33. Connor Frantti scored the goal with assists from Garrett Klee and Caleb Schroer.
- The Wildcats added on to their lead early in the third period at 19:34 with a goal from Philip Beaulieu. He was assisted by Adam Rockwood and Troy Loggins.

- The Falcons will take a road trip for their next matchup, traveling to Alaska Anchorage for a two game series on Nov. 9 and 10. The Falcons and the Seawolves faced off four times last year in WCHA play with each team hosting two games. Bowling Green won all four matchups with a combined score of 16-7. Following the trip to Alaska, BGSU will return to Slater Family Ice Arena on Nov. 16 and 17 against Lake Superior State.
