Falcon Elite Prospect Camp Set for Jan. 20

The Bowling Green State University softball team will host the Falcon Elite Prospect Camp on Sunday, Jan. 20, at Perry Fieldhouse on the BGSU Campus. The camp, geared toward enhancing the elite skill sets of participating campers, is open to athletes from ages 13 to 22.

The Falcon Elite Prospect Camp will provide athletes with a unique learning opportunity at the elite level. BGSU Softball Head Coach Sarah Willis and her staff will lead each group reflective upon their area of expertise at the collegiate level. Coach Willis, her staff and BGSU players will lead participants through elite-level drills and techniques while observing and instructing. Each camper will receive a camp t-shirt. Registration for two sessions will be available to participants. Checks can be made payable to "BGSU Softball" and can be submitted on the day of the camp.

COST: | Session I – Pitching & Catching – $125 Session II – All Skills – $175 Combo – $275 (a $25 discount if camper attends both sessions)  |
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
SESSION I
- Session I will be geared towards elite pitching and catching, and will provide pitchers and catchers with individualized instruction before they come together as a battery to learn game management and elite level strategies.
- Session I will run from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m., with registration from 8:15 to 8:55 a.m.
SESSION II
- Session II will be geared towards elite offense and defense. The All Skills session will provide players at every position with the opportunity to enhance their skill sets at the elite level.
- Players will split into defensive groups based on position while learning techniques and drills in an atmosphere conducive to competition.
- Athletes in Session II will also learn the offensive philosophy behind BGSU softball, while competing in drills and live-arm scenarios.
- Session II will run from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m., with registration running from 12:30 to 12:55 p.m.
- NOTE: A discount can be applied to campers who participate in both sessions.
LOCATION/FACILITIES
- All indoor camps run by BGSU Softball are held at our indoor facility located on our beautiful campus. Perry Fieldhouse is located at 801 N. Mercer Rd. in Bowling Green, Ohio.
- Our indoor facility is located approximately 69 miles south of the Detroit Airport.Â
LUNCH
- Lunch will not be provided during camp. Campers are responsible for providing their own lunch, snacks, and any other drinks they want during the camp.
- There will be a 90-minute break between Sessions I and II for lunch, and there will also be a lunch/snack break during Session II.
WHAT TO BRING
- Tennis shoes must be worn at all times in the facility during both sessions.
- Pitchers attending Session I will need to bring their own catcher for the first hour. Catchers will be responsible for bringing their own gear.
- Campers must provide their own glove, shoes, bat, helmet, batting gloves, and any other necessary equipment.
