Falcon Swimming an Diving Conclude Zippy Invitational In Fourth Overall

AKRON, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University swimming and diving team finish in fourth overall at the conclusion of the Zippy Invitational.
Daisy Platts earned back-to-back first-place finishes in the prelim and final of the 200-yard backstroke. In the final, Platts finished ahead Akron's Avery
Movold with time of 1:56.24.
This is Platts' second consecutive first-place finish in a backstroke finals. The Falcon swimmer tied for first place in Saturday's 200-yard backstroke event.

FIRST-FIVE FALCONS
• Daisy Platts was the winner in the prelim and final of the 200-yard backstroke event. The freshman finished with times of 1:57.64 and 1:56.24, respectively.
• Sarah Hennings placed in fifth in the 200-yard butterfly prelim and final. The sophomore posted end times of 2:03.05 in the prelim, and 2:01.54 in the final.
• In the 400-yard freestyle relay, Platts, Anna Eriksson, Franziska Wohlert, and Ashleigh Franks finished in fifth place with a time of 3:25.15.
TOP-TEN FALCONS
• Sophomore Jordan Andrusak earned top-ten finishes in the prelim and final of the 200-yard breaststroke event. In the prelim, Andursak finished sixth with a time 2:20.01; in the final, she finished seventh with a time of 2:19.53.
• Nikki Borgerding finished in 10th place behind Andrusak in the 200-yard breaststroke prelim. The senior ended with a time of 2:21.23.
• Wohlert finished in tenth place in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 50.87.
UP NEXT
The Falcons swimming and diving team will not compete again until the new year, where they will take on Florida Gulf Coast in a dual-meet that will take place on Jan. 5.
