Falcons Host Kent State Tuesday In Non-Conference Action
April 16, 2018 | Baseball
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University baseball team hosts Kent State University on Tuesday (April 17) at Steller Field. The ballgame is scheduled for a 3:05 p.m. first pitch. Even though both schools play in the Mid-American Conference, Tuesday's game is a non-conference contest.
Bowling Green enters Tuesday's game with a 9-23 overall record. BGSU played just two games last week, as the final two games at Western Michigan last weekend were cancelled due to inclement weather. Kent State is 22-10. The Golden Flashes have won six-consecutive games.
"We are excited to get back onto the diamond after a frustrating weekend at Western Michigan," said head coach Danny Schmitz. "It's never fun to have two conference games cancelled due to weather. Kent State is obviously a great program, and this will be a huge test for us as we prepare for another conference weekend."
