Men's Golf Conclude Regular Season In Columbus

Columbus, Ohio – Falcon Men's Golf took the last strokes on the regular season and concluded the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate in Columbus, Ohio hosted by the Ohio State University. Sunday consisted of the conclusion of the second round as well as a full 18 hole third round. Through three rounds, the Falcons finished in 13th out of 16 teams, up two places from the end of day one. After trailing MAC competitor Ball State, the Falcons finish the tournament one place and eight strokes ahead of the Cardinals. Bowling Green concluded the tournament with a strong third round as four Falcons jumped up the ranks. BG carded a total of 907, +55 (302, 306, 299) on the weekend.

"We had a decent day overall to finish the tournament. Our start was very strong, but we didn't quite sustain it all the way to the end. The team will continue to improve each time out and have a great opportunity to a high finish at the MAC Championship."

INDIVIDUAL STANDOUTS
- Kontak lead the Falcons throughout the tournament with +11 overall.
- With a final round of 73, Walker jumped 22 places and finished with +13 on the weekend.
- Iglesias finishes with a team leading six birdies on the weekend, shooting four in the third round.
- Hofland also shot four birdies of his five total birdies in the third round.
- Kontak, Walker and Vie all own five birdies on the weekend.

The Robert Kepler Intercollegiate concluded the regular season for Bowling Green. The Falcons will continue their season next weekend participating in MAC Championships (Apr. 27-29) taking place in Fort Wayne, Ind.
