Falcons Designate Findlay Contest On Dec. 16 As Bill Frack Challenge Game
September 28, 2018 | Men's Basketball
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University men's basketball program has announced that the annual Bill Frack Challenge game will take place on Dec. 16 when the University of Findlay visits the Stroh Center for a 4 p.m. tip.
"Playing Findlay for the Bill Frack Challenge is a natural fit," said BGSU Director of Athletics Bob Moosbrugger. "Bill spent most of his life as a member of the Findlay community and his tremendous contribution to our men's basketball program is administered through The Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation. Bill's legacy continues to make an impact in the Findlay and Bowling Green communities today and forever. We hope that this year's contest will bring as much excitement to Northwest Ohio as last year's thrilling win over Florida Gulf Coast did."

BILL FRACK LEAVES LASTING LEGACY
On Dec. 4, 2014, the BGSU men's basketball team announced that one game per season would be played in honor of William D. Frack, who passed away in the spring of 2014. Frack was one of the program's biggest fans and supporters. Bill's vision for the program and true generosity were put on full display a countless number of times.
His gift to The Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation, benefiting the BGSU men's basketball program and community needs in Hancock County, nearly doubled to about $20 million after it was initially announced in 2011. Frack, representatives of the Community Foundation, and BGSU announced the increased endowment at a news conference in Findlay on April 9, 2014.
Frack's impact on BGSU Athletics extends beyond the men's basketball program. Both Falcon basketball programs, along with the BGSU volleyball program, play on Bill Frack Court at the Stroh Center after he gave a separate $2 million donation for the new facility. Frack was one of four donors featured in the Stroh Center Rap (VIEW HERE), released in September of 2011 to celebrate the opening of the Stroh Center.
Frack, who followed BGSU basketball for more than six decades, had his father bring him to watch the Falcons play in 1948 in the old Men's Gym for the very first time. Bill remained a devoted fan until his passing in 2014.
