NOTEBOOK: A @DaeqwonPlowden Block Makes #SCTop10 For Second Time In Four Nights
January 09, 2019 | Men's Basketball
On Saturday (Jan. 5) night, Plowden's block at Kent State was the No. 3 play on #SCTop10. The sophomore chased down the player, leaped over him, and then pinned the ball on the backboard with two hands. The full Top 10 from Jan. 5 can be seen by CLICKING HERE.
Last night, in Bowling Green's 82-63 win over Ohio, Plowden raised the level of difficulty. With All-Conference forward Jason Carter going in for a clean dunk on the fast break, Plowden was able to high-point the ball and cleanly swat it away without fouling. For his efforts, the Philadelphia native's block was the No. 5 play on SportsCenter's #SCTop10 on Jan. 8.
All 10 plays from last night's edition of #SCTop10 can be seen below, along with some social media interaction from the night as a whole. Bowling Green has now won six-straight games by double figures for the first time since 1947-48. The Falcons are 8-0 at home for the first time since 1999-2000, and 2-0 in conference play for the first time in the Michael Huger Era.
