FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Bowling Green State University women's golf team played 36 holes at the Mastodon Fall Invitational on Monday (Oct. 14) in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The tournament is being hosted by Purdue Fort Wayne at the Pine Valley Country Club.
The Falcons sit in fifth place at the seven-team event after posting a team score of 640. Bowling Green is within seven strokes of both Indiana State (633) and Purdue Fort Wayne (635).
Jessica Madry followed an opening-round 78 with a second-round 76, and is tied for fifth on the individual leaderboard heading into tomorrow's final round of play. Additionally, Nichole Cox and Kayla Davis sit within the top-20 after strong showings on day one.
With an expanded lineup at the last event of the fall season, Kelsey Sager, Dani Austinson, Erin Korn, Aly Kovach and Amanda Maletich all contributed for the Falcons. Green Bay is leading the field after carding a 613 on the day.
