Tennis Closes Out Day Two At ITA Regionals

East Lansing, Mich. - The Bowling Green State University tennis program competed in Day Two of the ITA Regionals, hosted by Michigan State. For the Falcons, the second day of competition turned its focus to doubles play with three duos taking the court in the Orange and Brown.Â

Day Two Summary
- In play, Tavpash and Bettinelli suffered their first loss of the season in doubles play, falling to Illinois State's duo of Damnjanovic and Vujicic by a score of 8-6. The loss comes after the Bowling Green pair won three straight doubles tournament brackets, consisting of the BGSU Invitational, Purdue Invitational and the Cincinnati Invitational.Â
- Sasaki and Kapitanova early pulled off a win, coming back late in the set and testing the second Illinois State duo to oppose the Falcons. However, Bravo and Fitzgerald were able to secure the win, closing out the day for Bowling Green.Â
