Broncos Beat Falcons On Saturday In Kalamazoo
October 26, 2019 | Football
Bowling Green sits at 2-5 (1-3 MAC) following the loss, while Western Michigan moves to 5-4 (3-2 MAC). Saturday's contest marked BGSU's final crossover opponent in the regular season. The Falcons will close the regular season with four games against East Division opponents.
After both squads earned defensive stops to start the game, the Falcons went on a 15-play drive that covered 68 yards and 6:12. Nate Needham capped the drive with a 31-yard field goal. Bowling Green held a 3-0 lead after the first quarter, but the Broncos took control of the game in the second quarter, scoring 21-unasnwered points to take a 21-3 lead into halftime.
Prior to a scoreless fourth quarter, the second half started with touchdowns from both the Broncos and Falcons. WMU scored a total of 28 points in the third quarter to pull away.
