
Tennis Comes Up Short Against Pittsburgh, Lose 5-2

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Bowling Green State University tennis program fell to the University of Pittsburgh on Saturday (Feb. 16) by a score of 5-2. The loss moves the Falcons record to 4-4 on the season, while the Panthers are also now 4-4. Throughout the match, the Falcons put up a strong fight, but came up short in the end.

- After being named MAC Doubles Team of the Week, Sasaki and Bettinelli nearly came away with another doubles win, but were unable due to the other doubles matches finishing in favor of Pittsburgh.
- In singles play, Tavpash secured the Falcons first point, winning her first two sets, 6-1 and 6-4.
- Paula Comella was able to obtain five points against Bartolome, who is currently ranked 86th in collegiate singles play.
