Tavpash Extends Streak In Win Over Wright State

DAYTON, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University tennis program began the weekend with a win over Wright State University, for the second consecutive year, topping the Raiders by a score of 6-1. The win moves the Falcons record to 5-4 on the year while the Raiders drop to 3-6. The win is the Falcons' fourth this season where they have allowed the opponent to score just one point or less.

The Greyhounds will bring with them a 5-0 record, including being ranked No. 10 in the ITA Division II National Team Rankings. BGSU last faced Indianapolis last season, beat the Greyhounds 5-1. The Falcons also currently hold a 3-0 record when playing at their home courts this season.

Statistical Standouts
- In doubles play, Sasaki and Bettinelli came away with another win, bringing their record to 3-1 on the season in finished matches. This is the duo's second consecutive win in at No. 3 doubles.
- Tavpash recorded her first win of the year at No. 1 singles in the match. Currently, she has won five straight singles matches that have gone to final. The last time she lost in singles play was against Notre Dame on Jan. 23. Since then, she is 1-0 in No. 1 singles and 2-0 in both No. 2 and No. 3 singles. On the season, Tavpash holds a 6-2 record in singles play.
- In her first No. 2 singles match of the season, Comella only allowed her opponent to score three points in the first set before capturing a shutout in the second set. The win brings her singles record to 5-2 thus far.
