
Tennis Set To Play Wright State, Indianapolis This Weekend

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University women's tennis team will return to the court with two matches to play this weekend. The Falcons will begin play in Dayton, Ohio when they take on Wright State with a scheduled first serve of 11 a.m. On Saturday, the Orange and Brown will return home, playing Indianapolis at the Perrysburg Tennis Center, beginning at 2 p.m.
Steady Start
Entering this weekend, the Falcons have had somewhat of a roller coaster start, bringing them to an even 4-4 record. After starting with a sweep of Bellarmine University, Bowling Green has topped Indiana Tech, St. Louis and Cleveland. However, they have come up short to Louisville, Notre Dame, Michigan State and Pittsburgh. Including this weekend, the Falcons have three matches before they begin play in the Mid-American Conference. In addition to Wright State and Indianapolis, BGSU will also face Dayton before taking on their conference.
Reading the Raiders
Wright State will enter Friday's match with a 3-5 overall record, having lost their last three matches. With two sweeps on the season, coming against Chicago State and West Virginia State, the Raiders have shown flashes of dominance in the matches. However, they have fallen short in four of their last five matches, losing to Toledo and Western Michigan from the MAC. In addition, they have been swept by both Michigan State and Notre Dame. BGSU last faced Wright State last season, coming away with a 4-3 victory.
Glancing at the Greyhounds
Indianapolis will travel with a strong start to their season, entering play with a 5-0 record. Of those five wins, the last three of come in the form of a sweep. The Falcons met the Greyhounds last season in Indianapolis, with the Falcons capturing a 5-1 victory.
