February 06, 2019 | Women's Swimming & Diving
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- The Bowling Green State University swimming and diving team will conclude their regular season this weekend when they take the Battle of I-75 to the water. The Falcons will travel to north in their regular season finale, looking to end on a high note with the meet spanning over both Friday, Feb. 8 and Saturday, Feb. 9. Â Friday's portion is set to begin at 5 p.m. with Saturday starting at 11 a.m. The Orange and Brown will enter the meet with a 7-5 overall record, including 1-3 in conference competition.
Results in Waves
The Falcons have had similar results come in waves throughout the season. The Orange and Brown started out on fire, winning the first seven meets of the season, but sustained a turn of events, dropping the last five meets. Within the conference, Bowling Green topped Ball State, but fell short to Eastern Michigan, Akron, and Buffalo.
Taking On The School Up North
The Falcon's rival will enter the meet holding a 3-5 record overall, being 0-3 within the conference. Despite wins against Findlay, Indianapolis and Youngstown State, the Rockets have not won since Nov. 3. Since then, they have come up short against Ohio and Miami, also losing to Eastern Michigan.
Rocking the Rockets
The Falcons have not lost against their rival in a dual meet since the 2010-11 season. In that time, the Orange and Brown have won five meets, including a 101 margin of victory in the 2016-17 meeting.
