Falcon Tennis Comes Up Short In Close Match Against Akron

AKRON, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University tennis program came up on the short end of a hard fought match against the University of Akron on Sunday, March 24. After claiming the doubles point, the Falcons fell behind early in singles play, ultimately losing the match 4-3. In doubles, the duo of Paula Comella and Marharita-Sophia Tavpash captured a 6-0 victory to begin the match. Ayumi Sasaki and Marta Bettinelli joined in on the doubles win, securing the point for BGSU. With the loss, BGSU falls to 0-2 on the season within the MAC while holding a 7-8 overall record.
