BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University tennis program concluded Sunday's (March 31) match with Ball State on the losing end of a 5-2 final. The Falcons put forth a strong effort, forcing three singles matches to a third set, but were unable to capture the win. The loss moves Bowling Green's MAC record to 1-3 on the season while their overall record adjusts to 8-9.

Statistical Standouts

With the win at No. 3 singles, Radeva increases her career singles win total to 59, tying her for No. 23 in program history with Katie Grubb (2010-13). As for combined wins, it marks her 104th of her career, moving her to No. 27 on the all-time combined wins list, tied with Andrea Meister (2003-05) and Tisa Pacella (1989-92).
Bettinelli's win at No. 5 singles was her second consecutive after she also won her match on Friday (March 31) against Northern Illinois' Paula Veyhle. The win was number 10 on the season for Bettinelli in singles play.

Up Next
The Falcons will be back in action this coming weekend to take on the Rockets. The Battle of I-75 will take to the court on Sunday, April 7 with a first serve scheduled for 1 p.m. Last season, BGSU came up short in the match, falling by a score of 5-2. However, both teams participated in the BGSU Invitational this past September with two Falcons claiming bracket championships. Currently, UT holds a 10-6 record with a 2-1 standing in the MAC. Prior to facing the Falcons, the Rockets will travel to Oxford, Ohio on Friday (April 5) for a match with Miami.
