BGSU Gymnastics Paces League With Nine Academic All-MAC Recipients

Bowling Green, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University gymnastics program tied for league high honors as nine members of the squad were named to the Mid-American Conference's Academic All-MAC team. In total, 55 student-athletes were recognized for the award.

BGSU was the only school to have two student-athletes with a perfect 4.0 grade point average – senior Julia Beyer and junior Taylor Worthington. Just five student-athletes across the MAC boast a perfect GPA. Beyer is a biology major and Worthington is studying pre-exercise science.

In order to qualify for the Academic All-MAC award, a student must maintain a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
