TOUCH 'EM ALL (FOUR FASCINATING FACTS ABOUT THE FALCONS)

UDM had only 10 hits on the day, including a 10-inning stretch in which the Titans went just 4-for-35 (.114). But, Detroit Mercy pitching limited the Falcons to just five total hits on the afternoon, as a pair of pitcher's duels were won by the home team.

• Senior Alex Sorgi hit .563 in last week's four games, going 9-for-16 at the plate. Sorgi was 8-for-12 (.667) in the Buffalo series, with at least two hits in each game. She went 4-for-5 in Saturday's opener, including two hits in the first inning alone and a two-run walk-off single in BG's run-rule win. Sorgi increased her hitting streak to eight gamesj and her reached-base streak to 16 contests, before they were snapped at UDM.
• Sophomore Madison French, a native of Waterford, Mich., retired the only two batters she faced in a relief appearance at Detroit Mercy on Tuesday. French threw a complete-game one-hit shutout last season vs. the Titans, in her first collegiate start. UDM batters have hit just .059 (1-for-17) against French in her career.
THE 400 CLUB
• In last weekend's Buffalo series, senior Meredith Miller became just the fifth pitcher in school history to surpass the 400-strikeout mark for her career. Miller, in only her third year with the Falcons, now has 412 strikeouts in the Orange and Brown. She ranks third in school history in strikeouts per seven innings (6.05).
