BGSU will host back-to-back conference games Oct. 12 against Toledo and Oct. 19 against Central Michigan. Game times have not been set for those contests, but the Toledo game will serve as Family Weekend as well as a celebration of 100 years of football at Bowling Green. The CMU game is the program's annual Pink Game as well as Band and Cheer Day at The Doyt.
Bowling Green will then head to Western Michigan for a noon start on Oct. 26 before hosting Akron Nov. 2 for Senior Day. From there, the Falcons will take part in midweek MACtion for the remainder of the schedule.
BGSU plays at Miami on Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 8:00 pm for a nationally televised game on either ESPN2 or ESPNU. Following a six-day layoff, the Falcons will then host Ohio on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 7:30 pm, also on ESPN2 or ESPNU. Bowling Green will close the regular season Friday, Nov. 29 at Buffalo.
The MAC Championship game will take place at Ford Field in Detroit on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 12:00 pm on either ESPN or ESPN2. Loeffler has constructed a staff that includes a former Broyles Award Winner (National Assistant Coach of the Year in Brian VanGorder) and has combined for 200 years of coaching experience. The staff has developed more than 150 players who have gone on to play in the NFL.
Junior running back Andrew Clair returns with almost 1,500 career rushing yards and was recently named Preseason First Team All-MAC by Athlon Sports. The Falcons return 4-of-5 starters along the offensive line, led by preseason All-MAC players Jack Kramer and Lorenzo Taborn. On the defensive side of the ball, senior David Konowalski returns from an injury that kept him out of the entire 2018 season and safety Jerry McBride III is a productive player who recorded 106 tackles a year ago.
