BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University baseball team will host the Purdue University Fort Wayne Mastodons at 3:05 p.m. at Steller Field on Tuesday (May 6). This game will be Bowling Green's final midweek game of the 2019 season.
Tuesday's game will stream on Facebook Live. The Bowling Green Radio Sports Organization (BGRSO) will broadcast the game, while live stats will be provided by Bowling Green Athletic Communications.
Bowling Green will conclude its home schedule this weekend with a series against Kent State University before concluding the regular season with a weekend series against Northern Illinois University.
Bowling Green is currently four games back of a spot in the MAC tournament with six games to play. Ohio University (10-10), the current six seed, will travel to Muncie to play a series against Ball State University this weekend. The Cardinals (14-5) are currently second in the MAC. The top six teams in the league make the trip to Avon, Ohio for the MAC Tournament.

A LOOK BACK: FALCONS BEAT MASTODONS ON APRIL 10 IN FORT WAYNE
Trailing 2-0 entering the fifth, the Falcons used a four-run inning to claim the lead. After tacking on a run in the seventh and eighth, Bowling Green used another four-run inning in the ninth to clinch a 10-4 victory.

Purdue Fort Wayne scored in the first and fourth innings to take an early lead, then mounted a small comeback in the eighth with two runs. After surrendering four runs in the ninth, the Mastodons were held scoreless in the bottom half of the frame.

Ty Suntken and Dylan Dohanos each recorded three hits, with Dohanos scoring two runs for the Falcons. Suntken drove in two runs, as did Jack Connelly. Neil Lambert added a double and two runs for the Orange and Brown.

Bowling Green recorded 15 hits on the afternoon while holding Purdue Fort Wayne to nine. Daniel Buratto picked up his second win of the season and Jeremy Spezia recorded his fourth save. Spezia tossed two scoreless innings, allowing one hit and striking out one.
