MAC Office Announces Women's Basketball Schedule
September 04, 2019 | Women's Basketball
Falcons' league slate includes six February home games
The Mid-American Conference office has released the 2019-20 women's basketball league schedule. Bowling Green will play a total of 18 conference games, including nine inside the friendly confines of the Stroh Center.
The Falcons' non-conference schedule was announced last week, and more information on the pre-MAC slate can be found by clicking here.
Head coach Robyn Fralick's team will play two games each against the other five MAC East Division schools – Akron, Buffalo, Kent State, Miami and Ohio – while also playing two contests each against cross-divisional foes Eastern Michigan and Western Michigan.
BGSU will face Ball State, Central Michigan, Northern Illinois and Toledo once each, hosting the Cardinals and Huskies while traveling to Mount Pleasant and the Glass City.
The MAC schedule begins with a trip to Ypsilanti to face EMU on Saturday, Jan. 4. Then, Fralick's Falcons come home for the next two games, facing Ball State and Akron. The latter game, on Jan. 11, marks BG's lone home Saturday contest in the month of January.
The January slate also includes trips to UB, UT and Ohio and a home matchup with WMU.
BG's busy February schedule sees the Falcons play a total of nine times, including six games at the Stroh. The Orange and Brown will have no fewer than four home Saturday contests during that month.
Miami, NIU and EMU come to Northwest Ohio early in the month, as BG begins the February schedule with three-of-four games at home. The lone road game in that time is a midweek trip to Kent State.
After trips to CMU and WMU in mid-February, BGSU will end the month with a three-game homestand, facing UB, Ohio and KSU inside the Stroh.
March sees the Falcons head to Miami and Akron before the MAC Tournament begins with first-round action on Monday, March 9, at campus sites. The league tournament continues in downtown Cleveland that week, with the championship set for Saturday, March 14, inside Rocket Mortgage Field House.
