Willis, Falcons Add Two to Program

Reid, Young Sign National Letters of Intent to Join Falcon Family
Bowling Green State University softball coach Sarah Willis has announced the addition of two student-athletes to the program. Wyndhem Reid (Taylor, Mich.) and Madi Young (Crown Point, Ind.) have joined the Falcon family and will attend BGSU beginning in the fall of 2021.
WYNDHEM REID | IF| Taylor, Mich. | Cabrini H.S.
• Earned All-Michigan honorable mention in Division 3 as a sophomore in 2019
• A two-time all-district and all-region selection for the Monarchs to date
• Earned Academic All-State honors in both 2018 and '19
• Hit .327 as a freshman and .396 as a sophomore
• Currently plays travel ball for the Ohio Lasers - Gambone

"Wynnie is a versatile athlete that brings tremendous energy to the field," said Willis. "She has a high aptitude for the game, and we are excited for her to join the Falcon family."
MADI YOUNG | P | Crown Point, Ind. | Crown Point H.S.
• A four-year varsity athlete and an All-Area Team selection in both 2018 and '19
• Played in 45 high-school games and had only one loss in the circle
• Hit .310 in her career, and had an ERA of 1.98
• Helped the Bulldogs capture a regional title and advance to the semifinals of the Class 4A state tournament in 2019
• Team won the league (Duneland Athletic Conference) title in 2018
• Currently plays travel ball for Ohio Lasers after spending five years with the Beverly Bandits

"Madi is a talented pitcher with a tremendous ability to move the ball and change speeds," said Willis. "She will add great depth to the bullpen and a different look from what we currently have."
Willis and the Falcons, after seeing the spring 2020 season halted after just 17 games, will look to begin the 2021 season in mid-February, with the Mid-American Conference slate starting in mid-March.
