THE STARTING FIVE (FIVE FUN & FASCINATING FALCON FACTS)
• Wednesday night is the Falcons' annual Pink/Play4Kay game in support of breast cancer awareness, with fans encouraged to wear pink to the game.
• Junior Madisen Parker went 4-for-6 from three-point range in Saturday's (Feb. 22) 62-56 loss to Buffalo. Parker has made 83 three-point field goals this season, the third-highest total in program history.
• Parker has moved into 12th place on the BGSU career list for three-pointers made.
• Senior Clare Glowniak gave the Falcons some valuable minutes off the bench last week. She had a then season-high five points at Western Michigan Wednesday, tying her season best with four rebounds. Then, Glowniak set new season standards with eight points and six boards vs. Buffalo. Glowniak was 4-for-4 from the field vs. the Bulls and 6-of-7 in last week's two games.
• The Falcons have made at least one three-point field goal in each of the last 485 games, a streak that began just over 15 years ago.
THE BOBCATS
• Ohio is 17-8 overall, and the Bobcats sit atop the MAC's East Division with a 10-4 mark in league action. The 'Cats had won eight of nine games (with the lone loss coming at undefeated Central Michigan in overtime) before suffering a 79-76 setback at Akron on Saturday afternoon.
• OU is 10-1 at home, 6-6 on the road and 1-1 in neutral-site matchups this year to date. In MAC action, the 'Cats are 6-1 when it's Basketball Thirty at The Convo, and 4-3 in hostile venues.
• Cierra Hooks and Erica Johnson are averaging 18.6 and 18.2 ppg, respectively. Hooks is third in the league in scoring and first in steals (3.83 spg), while Johnson leads the MAC in assist/turnover ratio (1.75). Amani Burke has 13.0 ppg and is one of three Bobcats to hit 49 or more three-pointers this year.
• Head coach Bob Boldon returned eight letterwinners, including four starters, from a 2018-19 Bobcat squad that finished with records of 30-6 overall and 14-4 in the MAC.
THE SERIES
• The Falcons lead Ohio, 55-32, in the all-time series, but the Bobcats have won each of the last 11 meetings after BG had taken the previous four games.
• This year's first meeting saw the 'Cats pick up a 79-69 win in Athens late last month (Jan. 25, 2020). In the last matchup at the Stroh Center, the Falcons trailed by as many as 21 points before rallying to get within one, before Ohio escaped with an 82-79 win (Jan. 26, 2019).
• BGSU's last win in the series was a 63-39 victory on March 2, 2014.
• BG is 31-10 in home games, 21-20 in road contests and 3-2 in neutral-site games vs. Ohio over the years.
DOWN THE ROAD
• Following the Ohio game, the Falcons will wrap up the home schedule on Saturday afternoon (Feb. 29), as Kent State comes to town for a 1:00 p.m. matchup.
• BG ends the regular-season slate with trips to Miami (March 4) and Akron (March 7), and the MAC Tournament begins with first-round games at campus sites on Monday, March 9.
