Falcons Beat Ohio To Close Out Mid-American Match Play Challenge

LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. – The Bowling Green State University women's golf team concluded play at the Mid-American Match Play Challenge with a 3-1-1 victory over Ohio University. The Falcons hosted the match-play style event, which took place at the Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club in Florida.
Bowling Green went 2-1 on the week, and closed the event with back-to-back wins. After an opening-round loss to Morehead State, the Falcons ended the day on Monday (Feb. 3) with a 3-2 victory over Central Michigan. BGSU went 2-0 versus MAC competition.
Kelsey Sager, Aly Kovach and Nichole Cox led the Falcons on the day with head-to-head wins, while Kayla Davis earned a tie in her match to round out the successful afternoon.
