Jovannah East Named MAC Gymnast of the Week

Cleveland, Ohio – For the third time this year, Bowling Green State University senior Jovannah East has been named the Mid-American Conference Gymnast of the Week. East earned the award for the seventh time in her career.
Over the course of two weekend road meets, East won four individual events and both all-around competitions. She equaled her season-best all-around score with a 39.300 Sunday at Brown after posting a 39.225 at Temple.
At the Temple quad meet, East won both the vault and floor exercise with scores of 9.875 and 9.900 respectively. She followed that up with beam and floor exercise victories at Brown's tri-meet, scoring a 9.850 and 9.875 respectively. She added a runner-up finish on vault at Brown and placed no lower than fourth on any event all weekend.
East will be recognized Saturday as the Falcons host Senior Day against Northern Illinois at 2:00 pm in Anderson Arena. Admission is free for all home BGSU gymnastics meets.
