Kruse, Lemke Named Jet's Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Jet's Pizza Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are hockey player Brandon Kruse and diver Talisa Lemke.

Male Athlete of the Week

Brandon Kruse, a junior from Saline, Mich., paced the Falcons with three points over the weekend, registering two assists on Friday and then a goal on Saturday. Both of his assists on Friday were to Alex Barber for power play goals with the second being the game-winner in overtime. As for his goal on Saturday, the score also came on the power play and went down as the game-winner for the Falcons, totaling three points, all on the power play, for the weekend including being involved with both game-winners.

Female Athlete of the Week

Talisa Lemke, a senior from Berlin, Germany, won the 1 meter dive at the MAC Championships with a pool-record score of 327.42 and the 3 meter dive with a score of 351.36. It was her third consecutive 1 meter title and second-straight 3 meter championship. For the second straight year, Lemke was named MAC Diver of the Year. She was also recognized as the MAC's Most Outstanding Senior -- the first BGSU swimmer or diver to earn the honor.
