SETTING THE SCENE
• The Bowling Green State University women's basketball team. coming off of a loss for the first time in nearly a month, heads to Western New York for a midweek matchup. Head coach Robyn Fralick and the Falcons will face the University at Buffalo on Wednesday (Jan. 13), with tipoff set for 5:00 p.m. at Alumni Arena.
• Both the Falcons and Bulls are 4-1 in Mid-American Conference action. BGSU, in the program's lone home game in a 28-day span, dropped a 78-71 decision to Northern Illinois on Saturday afternoon (Jan. 9) at the Stroh Center. Despite the loss, BG is still off to one of the best starts in school history at 8-2 overall.
• Prior to the NIU game, BGSU had won a pair of road contests, vs. Ball State and Western Michigan, by a combined 59 points. By mid-afternoon on Jan. 6, BGSU had topped the conference win total for all of last season.
• After facing the Bulls, BGSU will prepare for a Saturday contest (Jan. 16) at Toledo, for the first of two meetings in a two-week span for the arch-rival schools.

• Due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, BGSU will unfortunately not have any public attendance for women's basketball games in the 2020-21 season. However, there are multiple ways to follow the Falcons this winter...
• TV/VIDEO: All of BGSU's home games, as well as many road contests, will be streamed via ESPN3 or ESPN+.
• RADIO/AUDIO: All BGSU home games and many road games will have an audio stream thanks to the efforts of the Bowling Green Radio Sports Organization (BGRSO).
• LIVE STATS: Live stats will be available for all BGSU games in 2020-21.

FLEMING'S ONE OF THE TOP FRESHMEN IN THE MAC – AND THE NATION!
• Lexi Fleming is averaging a team-leading 19.8 points per game through the first 10 games of her Falcon career, leading all MAC freshmen in that category. Is that the only category in which Fleming tops all MAC frosh? No. Oh, no. Not even close.
• Fleming leads all MAC freshmen in no fewer than 11 categories, and she ranks second in a 12th. She is among the top five freshmen in the entire nation in eight of those categories. (Note: the complete list can be found in the PDF version of these notes)
A QUICK LOOK AT THE BULLS
• Buffalo is 7-3 on the season, and the Bulls are 4-1 in MAC play entering Wednesday evening. Like BGSU, UB got off to a 4-0 conference start before suffering a loss on Saturday.
• The Bulls defeated Akron and Western Michigan at home, and Miami and Eastern Michigan on the road, but UB dropped a 79-63 decision to visiting Central Michigan over the weekend.
• Dyaisha Fair has 23.8 points per game to lead the team, and also has 6.2 rebounds and a team- and MAC-leading 5.2 assists per contest. Summer Hemphill (11.5 ppg), Jazmine Young (10.2) and Cheyenne McEvans (10.0) also are averaging in double digits in scoring, although Hemphill has played in just two games and Young five.
• The Bulls are 3-1 at home and 4-2 on the road this season to date. Head coach Felisha Legette-Jack welcomed back nine letterwinners, including four starters, from a 2019-20 club that finished 19-12 overall and 9-9 in the MAC.
THE SERIES
• The Falcons lead Buffalo, 26-17, in the all-time series, but UB has won the last three meetings, including a pair of six-point games last season. In BG's last trip to Western New York, the Bulls captured a 65-59 decision (Jan. 15, 2020). Then, just over a month later (Feb. 22, 2020), UB left the Stroh Center with a 62-56 victory.
• BGSU is 12-7 at home, 13-10 on the road and 1-0 at neutral sites vs. UB through the years.
DOWN THE ROAD
• Following the UB game, the Falcons will renew the 'Battle of I-75' with a trip to the Glass City for a Saturday (Jan. 16) game vs. Toledo. That game will begin at 2:00 p.m. at Savage Arena.
• Then, the Brown and Orange will return home to face Akron on Wednesday, Jan. 20, in a 7:00 p.m. start at the Stroh Center. The UA game begins a stretch in which BG plays three out of four games at home to wrap up the month of January.
