Toledo quarterback Dequan Finn threw for 270 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 30 yards and two touchdowns. Rockets' running back Bryant Koback ran for 126 yards and a pair of scores. Bowling Green running back Terion Stewart ran for 42 yards and a touchdown, while receiver Austin Osborne caught six passes for 50 yards.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Bowling Green went three-and-out on the game's opening drive, then Toledo drove 75 yards in five plays for the first touchdown of the night. Bryant Koback scampered 50 yards for the score, with Thomas Cluckey tacking on the extra point.
- The Falcons went three-and-out again and punted, then Toledo scored another touchdown on a five-play drive. Koback was responsible for the touchdown, running in from ten yards out.
- After another three-and-out from BGSU, Toledo faced a 4th-and-1 at their own 39-yard line. Koback was stuffed by Darren Anders and Trent Simms, giving the ball back to the Orange and Brown.
- Bowling Green followed with their first scoring drive of the night, capped by Terion Stewart's eight-yard run. Stewart carried the ball on all three plays of the drive, with a Toledo personal foul putting the Falcons in the red zone. Nate Needham banged in the extra point to make it 14-7.
- Toledo picked up a first down before punting on their next drive. Bailey Flint's punt was short, going out of bounds at the BGSU 45-yard line.
- A pass interference call on third down moved the Falcons across midfield, then a 15-yard run by Terion Stewart put BGSU in the red zone. A sack moved the Falcons back to the 30-yard line, but Nate Needham squeezed his 47-yard field goal attempt through to make it 14-10.
- The Rockets picked up a pair of first downs on their ensuing drive, but the Falcon defense forced a third-down incompletion to force another Toledo punt.
- Starting inside their own ten-yard line, Bowling Green picked up a first down on an 11-yard Jaison Patterson run. Toledo forced another Falcon punt and started a drive at their own 46-yard line.
- Micah Kelly carried the ball twice and gained 41 yards to open the Toledo drive, then Dequan Finn punched it in with a 13-yard carry. Cluckey's extra point was good.
- Bowling Green went three-and-out on their next drive, punting and giving the ball back to the Rockets at their own 41-yard line.
- Finn connected with Danzel McKinley-Lewis on the drive's first play, with the receiver finding a gap in the secondary for a 59-yard touchdown. Cluckey connected on the extra point to extend Toledo's lead to 28-10.
- Toledo used their two remaining timeouts on Bowling Green's next drive, forcing a Falcon punt and receiving the ball at their own 35.
- Finn opened the drive with a pair of completions that covered 51 yards, then Koback ran for eight yards to put the Rockets at the Bowling Green six-yard line. Finn found Matt Landers in the end zone on the next play, with Cluckey's extra point closing the scoring in the first half.
- Toledo drove the length of the field on their first drive of the second half, covering 75 yards on 11 plays. Koback carried the ball five times on the drive, with the touchdown coming on a four-yard pass from Finn to Jamal Turner. Cluckey converted on the extra point, making the score 42-10 in favor of UT.
- The next three drives were all three-and-outs, with the Falcons and Rockets trading punts. Micah Kelly picked up two first downs on the ground to open Toledo's next drive, then Finn completed passes of 14 and 22 yards to pick up the next two first downs. The possession continued into the start of the fourth quarter, with Finn capping the 11-play drive with a nine-yard rushing touchdown. Cluckey's extra point completed the scoring for the Rockets.
- Bowling Green answered with an 11-play scoring drive of their own, covering 75 yards over four and a half minutes. Matt McDonald connected with Austin Osborne for consecutive passes of 13 yards, then threw a two-yard touchdown pass to Jamal Johnson. Nate Needham's extra point concluded the scoring for the evening.

FROM THE LOCKER ROOM
""This is the first time this year that I could sit here and say that we were physically beaten in every phase of the game. We lost up front on both sides of the ball. Defensively we couldn't stop the run, and then offensively we couldn't get into our game plan whatsoever. We were facing a three-man rush taking sacks. They [Toledo] did a great job. They've done a great job recruiting, no question about it. They have big, strong guys, and we've got to catch them." - Scot Loeffler
