The Falcons and Cougars will meet for just the third time in the program's history. The first meeting came nearly 51 years ago to the day on Dec. 1, 1970. Bowling Green won that contest by 37 points in a 101-70 final. The second meeting of the series came in 2015 on Jan. 3 when Chicago State made their first trip ever to the Stroh Center. The Orange and Brown came away with that game as well, this time in a low-scoring affair, seeing a 58-35 final score.Â

A Bowling Green Win Would …Â
Scouting Chicago StateÂ
It's been a bit of a tale of two seasons thus far for Chicago State. The Cougars opened the season with back-to-back wins, topping St. Thomas by five, 77-72, before besting SIUE in a 67-56 final. However, the Cougars have come up short in their last three, failing to reach 60 points in any of the three games. Those came against Loyola Chicago (92-56), UC Santa Barbara (81-50) and University of the Pacific (74-58).Â
Plowden On Cusp Of Program RecordÂ
Daeqwon Plowden is set to break a program record against Chicago State on Sunday (Nov. 28). In addition to being in the record book for career points, rebounds and blocks, Plowden is now set to break the all-time program record for games played in a career. Now in his fifth season with the Falcons, Plowden has played in 129 career games for the Orange and Brown, currently tying him with Demajeo Wiggins (2015-19) for the spot in the record books.Â
Century Mark At The StrohÂ
The 2021-22 season marks the 11th in the Stroh Center for the men's basketball program and the team is nearing the 100-win milestone, currently sitting at 99. Over Coach Huger's seven seasons at the helm of Bowling Green, his Falcons have tallied 58 of those 99 wins in the Stroh, including posting winning seasons at home each season from 2016-17 until 2019-20.Â
Results Of ReboundingÂ
The Falcons have placed themselves among some of the best in the nation for rebounding as a team, including leading the MAC. On the defensive end, BGSU is averaging 30.2 rebounds per game, 25th in the nation. As for the offensive boards, the Orange and Brown average 13.6 rebounds per game, 42nd in the nation. That culminates for 43.8 total rebounds per game, the 22nd best mark in the country. Bowling Green is also 2-0 this season when they outrebound their opponent.Â
