Dijsselhof scores first collegiate goal in Sunday’s setback
BUFFALO, N.Y. – Marcy Barberic scored twice as the University at Buffalo rallied for a 2-1 win over the Bowling Green State University women's soccer team Sunday afternoon (March 14). The Mid-American Conference match was held at a blustery UB Stadium.
Jasmijn Dijsselhof scored the first goal of her BGSU career to give the Falcons (2-1, 2-1 MAC) the lead in the 17th minute, but Barberic struck in the 36th minute to tie the score before giving her team the lead early in the second half.
QUOTING COACH WALKER
"I thought the game was pretty even. We had our chances, they had their chances. At the end of the day, they executed and we didn't finish our chances in the first half. The conditions were difficult with the wind, and when we were playing with the wind at our backs in the first half, we needed to capitalize on a few more chances than we did."
