Ross, White Named Medical Mutual Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Medical Mutual Athletes of the Week, as selected by the strategic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are baseball player Tyler Ross and women's soccer player Kennedy White.
Male Athlete of the Week
Tyler Ross, a sophomore from Lewis Center, Ohio, was a catalyst offensively for Bowling Green in its series victory on the road over the James Madison University Dukes. Ross had at least one hit in all three games, going 6-for-12 at the dish with three RBI and five runs scored. The Lewis Center, Ohio native went 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBI in Bowling Green's 10-6 win on Friday. After a 2-for-4 day in the middle game, Ross scored three runs and added another hit in the 10-4 victory on Sunday.

Female Athlete of the Week
Kennedy White, a sophomore from Canton, Mich, scored a goal in each match as the Falcons got off to a 2-0 start to the season. White scored the second goal in a 3-0 win at Akron in the season opener, stealing the ball at midfield, making a 50-yard run and giving BG a 2-0 lead early in the second half. Then, three days later, she scored the second 'Golden Goal' of her young career with the OT winner vs. Ohio. White had six total shot attempts (three in each game) and four shots on goal (two in each game). White now has 12 career goals, and has scored 26 career points in 25 matches.
